O.A.S.I.S. Return to Work and Daily Living Programs
This is a structured, active rehabilitation program offered by physiotherapists. The primary focus is on returning to work through physical and functional conditioning, education and supported return to the workplace. Treatment services may be provided at the clinic and/or at the work site.

This program encompasses physiotherapy treatment, hydrotherapy, exercise programs in a gym, workplace simulation, cardiovascular training and education including safe mechanical techniques, injury avoidance and injury management.

Patients in the program may spend part of their day at work (if they’re able) and part of their work day at the clinic. Typically patients spend four hours, five days a week at the clinic. The program duration varies but on average lasts for four weeks. The cost of the program may be covered by WCB, ICBC or private health insurance.

First Visit
First Visit Expectations: The physiotherapist will collect a full history on the patient. For example: how the injury happened, how long has it been bothering the patient, if this has happened before etc. A full assessment of the injury will then be done. After the assessment, the physiotherapist with the patient will discuss treatment options prior to beginning to treat the injured area. They will also provide the patient with an estimate of how many treatments or how many weeks they will require in order to reach a full recovery. The first visit can sometimes be up to 1 hour and a half in length.
