FAQ
Q: Is it Free?
A: Unfortunately it is not free. Since 2000 the government has decided to no longer fund Physiotherpay services. However some people may still qualify for partial coverage (See Billing Page)
Q: What should I wear?
A: Where comfortable clothes that will give the Physio access to the injured area-. i.e. if
patient has a knee injury, ensure to bring shorts.
Q: If I have Extended Medical how much do they cover?
A: It is the patients responsibility to call
and ask how much they cover. There should be a toll-free number on
the back of your Extended Medical Card. Quite often it is 12 visits
or a certain dollar amount. Because OASIS cannot bill Extended
Medical companies directly and to keep information confidential,
they cannot talk to them about patients medical coverage.
Q: Do I need a referral from my Doctor?
A: If a patient is coming in for an ICBC or WCB
claim, a referral from a Medical Doctor is required. If it is Private
coverage, a referral is not necessarily required but Extended Medical
companies may require one in order for reimbursement.
Q: How long is each visit?
A: The first visit is usually 1-1.5 hours. Each visit after that will average 1 hour.
Q: Do I need to make an appointment or can I just walk in?
A: An appointment must be booked.
Walk-in's are not accepted.
